Christmas Trees to be Delivered to Camp Pendleton

Free Christmas trees to be distributed as thank you to troops.

 Christmas trees will be distributed to active duty service members and families Dec. 6 at two locations on base.The delivery is part of the ninth annual Trees for Troops event sponsored by the Christmas Spirit Foundation and FedEx to deliver 18,000.Christmas trees donated by tree farms to 62 bases across the country and at several bases in Afghanistan.About 900 trees are expected to be delivered to Camp Pendleton by mid-morning.The morning event includes a Holiday expo with music, food and family entertainment.

Participants can start picking up numbered tickets to receive a free tree at 6 p.m. at the San Onofre TRS Center Bldg. 51919 and 7 a.m. at the Paige Fieldhouse.
