VA Accelerated Learning Programs – Free IT Training for Veterans

The Department of Veterans Affairs just created and launched two new (and free) training program for veterans to help them land jobs in the Information Technology (IT) field. IT is one of the fastest growing and largest career fields in our economy.

The programs, called the Accelerated Learning Programs (ALPs) and VA Learning Hubs, are open to veterans of all ages, have no tuition fees for members, and do not require the use of the GI Bill. Programs are being held online, and in several locations, including San Antonio, TX, St. Louis, MO, Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL, Washington, DC, and more.

Types of training offered: The VA is focused on training veterans in IT skills that are in high demand, but don’t require long programs. Examples of training include:...

  • Coding/Programming Boot Camps;
  • 80+ IT Certifications in Hardware, Software, Networking, Web Services, and more;
  • Network Support Engineer Job Training and Certification;
